HaitiOne was formed to help bring together the missions-minded nonprofits and businesses in Haiti. The goal is simple: to improve collaboration and encourage one another in accomplishing our collective goal to serve Jesus and transform lives in Haiti.
To the outside world, HaitiOne can help show the cumulative impact the Body of Christ is having and help others connect with missions organizations in Haiti. Inside Haiti, we can work better and more efficiently by sharing know-how and supporting one another more.
We encourage everyone to read about the vision and values of HaitiOne and reflect on Jesus’ words in John 17:20-23:
"I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me."
HaitiOne is meant to be a community of missions-minded organizations who lead, influence and hold each other accountable. We welcome other organizations interested in taking on a leadership role within HaitiOne by sharing expertise and supporting others in their sphere of influence to contact us to find out how you can play a bigger role in HaitiOne.
HaitiOne was organized by Mission of Hope, Haiti. We lead the operation of the HaitiOne.org website and coordinate periodic in-person meetings in Haiti as a way to help build community.
HaitiOne is about seeking and demonstrating unity in the Body of Christ. We welcome collaboration with any organizations or groups that share the same vision and values. If you know of other organizations or communities doing similar work that we should feature or connect with, please contact us.
One benefit of HaitiOne is the ability to spotlight all the ways God is working through the missions-minded organizations in Haiti. Since most organizations already post on a Facebook page, we believe it is easiest for them to simply tag the HaitiOne Facebook page at the same time, to give their news and updates broader exposure.
Every organization is responsible for the content that appears on their page. Likewise, every individual is responsible for content they post on HaitiOne.
